A classic Shakespearean comedy enjoys new life on the Hope College stage. Lifelong fre-nemies, Beatrice and Benedick (a cynical spinster and an eternal bachelor), are tricked into believing the other is in love with them. At the same time a plot to corrupt the reputation of a young bride goes awry causing chaos and dissension in the lives of family and friends. Through clever scheming and intervention, the truth is eventually revealed, misunderstandings put aside, lovers are reconciled and the play comes to a happy close.
The Sunday, November 17 performance at 2:00pm is free and does not require a ticket.
